Private Mail, site-specific installation at Smack Mellon, DUMBO, Brooklyn, NY. Installation of 1000 personal graphite, ink and hair drawings on 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" paper envelopes. The envelopes are hand-sewn onto monofilament and suspended from floor to ceiling to create a cylinder. The cylinder frames a skylight in the ceiling. All of the drawings face inward towards the center of the cylinder and the open and dated envelope flaps face the outside. The viewer is invited inside the circle through a portal facing the back corner of the room. Two people fit inside the cylinder fairly comfortably. Binoculars are placed twenty feet away from the installation, where viewers can spy the drawings hanging above eye range. 25’ x 8’ x 8’ (night time shot)
